Where have I disappeared?

It's been a while since I was blogging here. I haven't disappeared from the face of the earth. I've made quite some progress and discoveries, so keep tuned in the future.

Mainly I've been working on some projects..

1. The Biggest one: SharePoint Simple CMS
Enables you to have a beautiful web design over your WSS site and really easy-to-edit contents of websites. Jose has already prepared some videos.

Stability and performance update for Windows Vista

Yesterday evening my laptop with Vista already got too slow for normal work that I started to think about reinstalling. But instead I decided to use the performance tools in control panel and I made serious maintenance plus I turned off some features like visual styles.

An improvment in performance was immediate. And then suddenly a baloon pops up from my system tray explaining that there are solutions to my Vista problems (format? :-)). Desiring the better performance I follow the link and download the update. For all here's the link to KB article from which you can download the update for 32-bit or 64-bit Windows Vista.

After installing the patch and restart - the difference is obvious. Performance is better.

The best performance improvement I notice is that my SharePoint Designer crashes immediately instead of freezing for 2 minutes first :-)

My new blog

Hurray for SharePoint. Using it I've managed to establish my new blog quite easily. Though it's also easy to create blogs in services like blogger, MSN spaces, etc. I'm happy that I have a blog in SharePoint.

Anyway, what is it about? It will be my attempt to say something about environment and ecology. So please visit my new eco blog - Eco wwway.

And as a starting point, I've created a short survey on how many e-cards you've sent instead of regular cards. So please help me spread the word and get as many answers to the survey!

VistaMan!

Yeeee! Forgot to post. Recently (18.9.) there was an event for Microsoft's partners in Slovenia. At the end I've also had a presentation with 2 of my friends. We've all come to the finals so we've earned the title Vistaman, to prove that we can present the new Office and Vista. Congratulations to Matjaž Šircelj that won the competition and to Simon Jurič for also a very good presentation!

How did I remember that just now? Because our Ministry of internal affairs - the police today kindly reminded me about that date... More specifically when I was driving there ;)

Guess a prize comes with a price ;-)
